In 2013, he's distressed about the increasing emphasis in the beer world on celebrity and gimmickry. This true beer pioneer, who introduced us to beers like Saison Dupont, Duvel and La Chouffe, as well as founded Belgianesque Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, NY, still hunts down real beers from Europe made by real people using traditional practices and ingredients.
