Second Annual Xfinity Live Xtoberfest, September 28
Are you ready for more Oktoberfesting? Pick up tickets to Xtoberfest, the second annual celebration of the German beer fest at the South Philly entertainment complex Xfinity Live. On Saturday, September 28, over 150 beers will be pouring from more than 100 breweries around the country and the world, and there will be plenty of Bavarian food to go along.
General admission tickets go for $40 each (here; get a group of eight or more in for just $30 each), and gain you access to the fest from 3–8 PM. You’ll be able to cruise seven different event areas, from the Hofbrau beer garden to the cider room to the whiskey + BBQ room and more, scoring unlimited beer samples in a custom commemorative stein along the way. You’ll also get to enjoy food, tournaments, games and live music, plus entrance to the official after party.
Nearly 5,000 people are expected to attend, and there’s free parking, too (head to lots S and T near Citizens Bank Park and mention “Xtoberfest”). Victory Brewing will be pouring two special beers made just for this event, and you’ll be one of the first to try this year’s edition of Red Thunder.
If you want to go all out, dress in traditional Oktoberfest duds (shake off the lederhosen and dirndl) and you could win Mr. and Mrs. X-Toberfest prize — a VIP experience that includes Flyers tickets a dinner at the Spectrum Grill and a special VIP night out at Xfinity Live. May the best fester win.
