Pick Six: Where to Watch March Madness

The dust from Selection Sunday has settled down and the field of 64 has been set. Whether your team made the cut or you just need an excuse to day drink, here’s where you need to go to get the best out of March Madness.
 

For March Madness, Brookland’s Finest will be partnering up with Sloppy Mama’s Barbecue. Patrons can watch the games on the restaurant’s screens while chowing down on items like smoked whole wings, fried pickles, pulled pork, and beef brisket. This year, City Tap House will be hosting their own bracket challenge with prizes for first and second place brackets. The grand prize will be four tickets to the upcoming Sweetlife Festival and second place will take home a bottle of Sam Adams’ Utopias beer. Navy Yard’s southern-inspired restaurant will be offering $5 happy hour during all March Madness games. Cheer on your team while enjoying $5 well drinks, beer (Due South IPA, Due South Lager, Bold Rock Hard Cider, Abita Amber), house wine, and bar bites (Burnt End Sliders, Black-Eyed Pea Hummus Crostini). Jack Rose Dining Saloon
Head to Adams Morgan where this whiskey-centric bar will be showing games on four big screen TVs. There will be plenty of food and drink specials to pair with your viewing party. Enjoy $5 pints, $7 punch, and $9 whiskey as well as half-priced bites including chips, guac and salsa; crispy chicken skins; jalapeno hushpuppies; baked Wisconsin fontina cheese; whiskey wings; and sweet and spicy pork belly bites. Penn Social
Opening its doors at 11 AM, clock out for lunch and don’t think twice about the office as you enjoy $3 Bud Lights, $4 Blue Moons, and $5 New Belgium Citradelics during all of the opening round games. Catch all of the action on more than 10 HD projection screens. Station Kitchen & Cocktails
Hosting a March Cocktail Madness, the Embassy Row Hotel restaurant will pit sixteen cocktails against each other while showing NCAA games on three screens. Patrons can enter a cocktail photo contest with the chance to win prizes like a one night stay at the hotel, $100 to spend at the bar, and the right to name the new spring cocktail.
