Stillwater Kopstootje at Farmers' Cabinet, March 5
While you may be familiar with the low-brow drinking combo of a shot and a beer, the Dutch have formalized the concept and taken it to a higher level. The traditional kopstootje (literally, “little head butt”) sees a tulip glass filled to the brim with gin-precursor spirit Bols Genever, backed by a pint of cold beer.
In honor of this pairing, centuries-old Holland-based Lucas Bols has teamed with nomadic brew wizard Brian Strumke to create one of the latest Stillwater Artisinal Ales to hit our shores, appropriately titled Kopstootje. On Monday, March 5, Strumke will be in the house at Farmers' Cabinet as they tap a keg of this collaboration brew and serve it along with its accompanying genever shot.
Head to Walnut Street between 6–11:30 PM to lean over on the bar, slurp your juniper spirit from an overfull glass, and then wash it down with a sip of the limited release brew.
