Where to Watch: Election Night Parties and Drink Specials in Philadelphia

On Election Day (Tuesday, November 6), Americans across the country participate in the important action of casting votes for candidates from President to local elected offices. On Election Night, Americans across the country participate in the national pastime of watching talking heads trying to keep you interested as results dribble in. What better way to pass the time than with a couple of drinks? Make sure you vote (find out where), and then afterwards head to one of these bars where you can keep abreast of the latest poll news with a brew, wine or cocktail in hand.

Bierstube: The Old City beer bar will be showing the election results with sound on.

The Blockley:
The West Philly music club and bar is combining Election Night with a Sandy Benefit party and offering a free drink to anyone bringing 10 cans of food (canned meat or fish, soup, juice, pasta, veggies, cereal, rice). From 8–10 PM look for all you can eat wings and fries, and all night long enjoy $2 Coors Light, $3 well drinks and $4 select craft beers. There will also be voting games to pass the time — for example: “Vote on which craft beer should be $4 this hour!”

Byblos: The Rittenhouse hookah bar and upstairs Vango Lounge will offer $4 beer, $5 cocktails, $5 wine and half-priced appetizers throughout Election Night.

Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse: TVs will be on at the Sansom Street sports bar, and you can find Yuengling Lager and Lager Light for $2 all day. Text "I Voted" to 74455 and show it to your bartender to get a Lager for just $1 (part of this promotion).

Devil’s Alley: The devil returns from the polls and heads to this Rittenhouse tavern, where he’ll be mixing $5 specialty cocktails for the election and results will play at the bar with sound on. Sip an Obama Mama, a Romney Runner or $3 lagers.

Dock Street Brewing Co.: Election coverage will be playing on the projector at the West Philly brewpub, and at 8 PM you can watch the real fun — The Candidate wwith Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis will begin playing.

Doobies Bar: Tuck into this petite Rittenhouse dive and find draft specials all evening as part of an extended happy hour, running through 9 PM. Also enjoy dollar hot dogs.

Field House Sports Bar: Across from Reading Terminal, the Human Rights Campaign is hosting an election results party in the upstairs loft.

Good Dog Bar: The Center City pub will show election results on the TV with closed captioning.

The Grape Room: In Manayunk, this pub will have the election results on and offer the $5 Citywide Special featuring a can of Lionshead and a shot of Heaven Hill.

Grey Lodge Pub: The northeast tavern is hosting Yards Election Night with Ales of the Revolution: General Washington’s Porter, Thomas Jefferson’s Tavern Ale and Poor Richard’s Tavern Spruce. Vote for your favorite and win prizes from the brewery, reps from which will be bar crawling and giving out shirts and other merchandise.

Growlers: Sound will be on as the results come in at the back bar at this cozy new bar and living room in Bella Vista.

The Industry: The Pennsport tavern will show election results on the TV with closed captioning.

Jet Wine Bar:
On South Street West, the wine bar will show the results with sound in the downstairs dining room.

Johnny Brenda's: The Fishtown bar and music venue is donating all proceeds from Election Day sales of Sly Fox drafts to the American Red Cross for Sandy relief.

Kennett: It's Election Night bingo at the Queen Village restaurant, and if you win you'll get a $10 gift certificate.

Kite & Key: The Callowhill tavern will have Yards Brewing Ales of the Revolution (General Washington’s Porter, Thomas Jefferson’s Tavern Ale and Poor Richard’s Tavern Spruce) available for $4 each all night.

McGillin’s Olde Ale House: The Midtown Village tavern has hosted Election Day parties since 1860 — the year Lincoln was elected — and will be featuring Yards Brewing Ales of the Revolution (General Washington’s Porter, Thomas Jefferson’s Tavern Ale and Poor Richard’s Tavern Spruce) for $3 on draft all day long.

New Wave Cafe: The Queen Village beer bar will be showing results throughout the day.

Perch Pub: Election Day happy hour will take place at the Broad Street pub from 5–7 PM, and you can stay and watch the results come in all night.

Revolution House: Results will be playing on the TV (no sound) at this Old City bar, and when you come in with your "I Voted" sticker, you'll get your second drink (select beer and wine) at half price.

Rhino Bar: Newly opened in Midtown Village, the gastropub will be showing results on flatscreen TVs and offering $7 Rhinocerous beer on draft all evening long.

Smokin' Betty's: After voting, head to this Wash West tavern and make the easy choice — beer ($3 drafts and bottles) or wine ($5) — with specials that start at 9 PM. Sound will be on and drinks will be flowing.

SoWe: In Graduate Hospital, the neighborhood bar will show the results on four TVs with sound, and offer a free lager to anyoe who voted. Also enjoy dollar oysters, Big Bird Wings and other election-themed bites and sips.

Tria Rittenhouse and Tria Wash West:
The wine bars will offer deals on beers from all-American canning pioneer Oskar Blues. Snag a 12-oz. can of Dale’s Pale Ale for just $2.50 or one of G'Knight Imperial Red/Double IPA for just $3.50.

Warmdaddy’s: Stay indoors at this Pennsport soul food bar and watch the results on seven screens including a large projection TV.
