5 Baltimore Restaurant Week Picks with Great Drinks

We hope you saved some holiday cash (and didn't blow it all partying after the Ravens win), because from January 25—February 3, your calendar deserves to be filled with reservations at Baltimore Restaurant Week locations. Three-course prix fixe menus are available at select restaurants across the city for either $20.13 or $30.13, and serveral spots are also offering two-course lunches for $15.13. Follow our guide to make an educated decision on where to grab the best drinks while you dine in style.

City Cafe: The chefs at City Cafe in Mount Vernon have whipped up a menu that has our mouths watering all the way from downtown, especially at the mention of an intense dark chocolate tart. To complement these items is one of the more sassy cocktail menus in the city, which includes the Boyhattan and Sex at the City (1001 Cathedral St.; 410-539-4252).

The Food Market: Up in Hampden, snag a seat at one of the best new restaurants from 2012 and, along with the great eats, enjoy wines from the carefully chosen list or cocktails from the seasonal menu. We've been dying to try the Truffle Martini, made with Frangelico, vodka, Kahlua, iced coffee and mini chocolate chips ($11) and this seems like the perfect opportunity (1017 W 36th St.;410-366-0606).

Heavy Seas Alehouse: If you're looking to add seafood to your Restaurant Week calendar, we suggest the oyster stew here, paired with plenty of Heavy Seas beer. Since the pub will be serving both lunch and dinner, there will be ample opportunities to enjoy delicious Black Cannon or other brews from tap or cask (1300 Bank St.; 410-522-0850).

Ten Ten American Bistro: This modern take on American cuisine turned a lot of heads this past year, thanks to dedication to sourcing from local farms and purveyors. The RW menu does not disappoint. There is notably "something for everyone" on the drink menu, but we're captivated by the carefully chosen list of available red and white wines, representing a variety of regions from all over the world (1010 Fleet St.; 410-244-6867)

Wit & Wisdom: Plan a fancy night out at this this tavern by Michael Mina and be blown away by one the best ambiances in the city. Sitting and watching the bartenders work at Wit & Wisdom can be like watching an artist with a paintbrush; their high-end cocktails are carefully prepared and worth every penny of the money you saved on the meal (200 International Dr.; 410-576-5800).
