Belgium Comes to Newbold at SPTR's Belgian Beer & Frites Night, Wed., Aug. 20

South Philadelphia Tap Room and Chef Scott Schroeder are offering guests the opportunity to bone up on all things Belgian this week with an eating and drinking tour of the European Low Country kingdom.

For one night on Wednesday, August 20, the Tap Room will be tapping an impressive selection of Belgian beers that range from St. Feuillien Tripel and Caracole Nostradamus to Seef Bier to BOM Wild & Funky #1, plus more.

Along with the beers, Schroeder will be serving a special menu of classic Belgian dishes and others loosely inspired by them, including frites with curry ketchup; mussels and frites; and a totally far-out french-fry grilled cheese sandwich. The fun starts at 5 PM and goes until everything runs out. Everything is pay as you go.
