Kurant Cidery Opens in Fishtown

by Jessie Donofrio on Jun 26, 2018 in Bars & Restaurants

We reported over a year ago the exciting news that Kurant Cider was planning on opening a Fishtown taproom, which we’re please to report has finally opened last week at 436 E Girard Ave.

As far as the menu goes, they’re serving four of their small batch ciders including a three year white wine barrel aged cider, a dry hopped cider, a honey cider, and a hibiscus and green tea infused cider. They also have local beers on tap from Love City, Forest & Main, Brewery Ars, and Free Will alongside wines from Wayvine Vineyards. The menu features two cocktails made with local spirits and, of course, Kurant Ciders like the “Carriage House,” a spin on the whiskey sour, made with Kinsey Rye, lemon juice, simple syrup, Kurant’s dry hopped cider and garnished with a maraschino cherry.

For now, the food menu is a hot dog lover’s delight, featuring grassfed beef dogs as well as vegetarian hot dog substitutions. The hot dogs are served on locally made buns with toppings like pickled beets and provolone cheese.

Kurant Cider is open Wednesday and Thursday 4 PM-10 PM, Friday 4 PM-12 AM, Saturday 12 PM-12 AM and Sunday 12 PM-9 PM.
