22 Bars With Pool Tables in Philadelphia

Whether you’re an accomplished shark or a tipsy newbie, almost everyone loves a game of pool. Check out our list of bars with pool tables, most of which also sport a few other things to keep you busy.

Bar: Good luck searching online for a bar named Bar. When you find it, try the Pickleback, a pickle juice and whiskey shot (1309 Sansom St).

The Blarney Stone: This typical college bar with a college crowd has pool tables and cheap drinks to make everyone happy (3929 Sansom St.; 215-222-5340).

Brownie’s Pub: Smoking is allowed at this unassuming, easy to find Irish bar in Old City (46 S. 2nd St.; 215-238-1222).

Buffalo Billiards: If you’re running late, happy hour here runs from 6–8 PM, plus they’ve got plenty of other games to keep you busy (116 Chestnut St.; 215-574-7665).

Drinker’s West: This University City staple has inexpensive drinks and $1 tacos to go along with your games (3900 Chestnut St.; 215-397-4693).

The Druid’s Keep: This Northern Liberties tavern has pool, darts, and decks of Trivial Pursuit at the bar. Bring your dog and hang out in the backyard (149 Brown St.; 215-413-0455).

Fiume: A hidden gem, this place is tiny with a great selection of beer and a cool atmosphere (45th and Locust St).

Gallagher’s on the Parkway: Chillax at the old pool tables in this average, divey bar (2200 Pennsylvania Ave.; 215-751-0988).

Good Dog Bar: At this Center City spot – featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives – head up to the third floor to find the billiards (224 S 15th St.; 215-985-9600).

Green Room: Friendly staff makes this a great place to relax and watch sports as you play (1940 Green St.; 215-241-6776).

Las Vegas Lounge: This Chestnut Street stop has pool, low prices and a ton of room. Shoot (digital) deer at the Big Buck Hunter arcade (704 Chestnut St.; 215-592-9533).

Liquid Charm: This nightclub in Chinatown does have a cover fee, but if dancing’s not your thing, shoot some pool and enjoy the music (1207 Race St.; 215-557-0208).

Lucky Strike Lanes: You’re going to be waiting for a lane anyway, might as well play some pool (1336 Chestnut St.; 215-545-2471).

McGlinchey’s Bar and Grill: Oddly priced drinks will leave you with a pocket of change, but they allow smoking at this Center City dive (259 S 15th St.; 215-735-1259).

North Bowl: It’s a bowling alley, but they’ve got pool tables and a couple bars. Throw in some arcade games and good food and you’re set (909 N 2nd St.; 215-238-2695).

Perch Pub: Head to Broad Street to enjoy half-off drafts during happy hour and their wide selection of brews as you shoot around (1345 Locust St.; 215-546-4090).

Sugar Mom’s: Drink and don’t drive at this basement bar as you site in the bumper car "booths" (225 Church St.; 215-925-8219).

Tattooed Mom’s: You’ll find random toys and candy at this uniqueSouth Street bar (530 South St.; 215-238-9880).

Tavern on Broad: It can get crowded in here, so head to the back room for some extra space and pool (200 S Broad St.; 215-546-2290).

Ten Stone Bar and Restaurant: Billiards fun can be had at this laid back neighborhood bar (2063 South St.; 215-735-9939).

Top’s: Located above McGlinchey’s, here you’ll find some of the cheapest drinks around, and they do allow smoking (259 S 15th St).

The West Tavern: Home of the “Dirty burger,” the kitchen is run by a classically trained chef (1440 Callowhill St.; 215-563-6134).
