One of Italy’s most innovative craft breweries is Birrificio le Baladin, which produces a huge roster of creative brews considered some of the best in the world. Alla Spina beverage director Steve Wildy is a big fan of the suds, and carries several Baladin offerings at the new graffiti-bedecked casual Italian pub from Marc Vetri.

You’ll have a chance to sip some of these European crafts while chatting up the gentleman responsible for brewing them when Paolo Fontana stops by for an impromptu meet-the-brewer event. Fontana — often described as Baladin principal Teo Musso’s right hand man — will be in the house from 5–6:30 PM on Saturday, March 31.

Head over to North Broad before dinner tomorrow to enjoy drafts of Baladin Issac ($9) and Noel ($10), bottles of Baladin Super and Nora ($13) or a bottle of Baladin Al-Iksir barleywine ($38), while discovering more about how these beers are made and what makes the brewery tick.
