 Four-Day Belgian Beer Fest Returns to Max's Taphouse Feb 14 - 17

Belgian beer dorks take note: Fells Point brewvana Max’s Taphouse is gearing up for its Tenth Annual Belgian Beer Fest, which is going down from Fri., Feb. 14 - Sun., Feb. 17. Each day of the ginormous blowout will focus on a different cut of Belgium’s notoriously multi-faceted brewing landscape. Sunday’s sesh, for example, will be devoted entirely to sour and wild fermented ales.

While Belgium produces more than 1,100 different varieties of beer, Max’s could only secure about 160 of them for this year's fest. Over the course of the four days everything from Saisons and Dubbels to Triples, Lambics, Geuzes and everything in between will flow from the bar’s seemingly endless line of taps. In addition to Belgian exports, the fest will feature many Belgian style brews from craft breweries near and far.

Curious to see what’s in store? Check out Max’s website for a list. And keep checking back, because it’s still a work in progress.
