American Craft Beer Week, May 14-20

May 14–20 is American Craft Beer Week, a nationwide happening organized by the Brewers Association. There are several special events being held across the city and region to toast and celebrate independent U.S. brewers. Check out the list below, and let us know of any others in the comments. Here’s to great craft beer!

DuClaw Tap Takeover
5–9 PM, Tuesday, May 15
Max’s Taphouse will be offering rare DuClaw beers including CoCoa Retribution, Oak Aged Chocolate Raspberry Porter and Oak Aged Imperial Chocolate Porter throughout the evening.

DuClaw Beer Social
5–8 PM, Wednesday, May 16
Elliott’s Pour House will be hosting Brad from DuClaw while pouring three DuClaw beers.

New Belgium Lips of Faith Night
6 PM, Wednesday, May 16
Max’s Taphouse will be celebrating New Belgium by pouring beers such as Prickly Passion Saison, Clutch Dark Sour Ale, Super Cru, Abbey Grand Cru, and Tart Lychee.

Harpoon Tasting
1–4 PM, Friday, May 18
Come sample Harpoon Brewery’s newest offerings at Beltway Fine Wines in Towson. Beers will include Rich n Dan’s Rye IPA, and Summer Seasonal Kolsch.

DuClaw Tasting
4–7 PM, Friday, May 18
Brad from DuClaw will be present as Beltway Fine Wines pours Mysterium, HellRazer, EuForia, & Venom.

Second Annual of Columbia Craft Beer Festival
3–8 PM, Saturday, May 19
Clydes Lakefront Pavilion in Columbia is hosting a large-scale festival that will feature more than 55 craft beers including some from Flying Dog, Sam Adams, and DuClaw. Tickets are $30 or $2.50 per 4-oz. tasting cup.
