Snallygaster Beer Festival and Jamboree, October 13

Snallygaster Beer Festival and Jamboree, October 13

The Snallygaster once terrorized the residents of the region, stealing children in the middle of the night and carrying victims off to its nest, but no longer! With help from the Dewayo, Snallygaster’s only known enemy, Neighborhood Restaurant Group has turned the monster to the good side, using that most powerful of weapons: great craft beer.

Now Snallygaster is being unleashed at a gargantuan beer jamboree, held at Yards Park on Saturday, October 13. Over 150 beers will be served, in styles both seasonal (think Oktoberfests, Marzens, German lagers) and inventive (barrel-aged ales, gravity kegs), all hand picked by Greg Engert and his team from ChurchKey, Birch & Barley and the forthcoming Bluejacket Brewery.

Tickets are still available for this extravaganza, which benefits sustainable food and agriculture center Arcadia. A Rodan Pass will run you $25 and brings admission from 1–5 PM, including 25 food and drink tickets and a commemorative beer mug ($5 will go to the nonprofit). If you want early access, go for the Gargantua Pass ($50), which gets you in at noon and includes a limited edition t-shirt in addition to your tickets, mug and donation. What are you waiting for — the monster can be yours, if you drink enough beer!
