Cascade Brewing Releases Figaro in Bottles, August 24

Figaro is a wild ale Cascade Brewing started making in celebration of the fifth anniversary of the City Beer Store in San Francisco, which was back in 2011. Ever since then, the Northwest sour strong blonde ale has been aging in Chardonnay barrels, along with dried Adriatic white figs and Spanish lemon peel.

This Friday, the unique brew will be released for the first time in bottles, available at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House and Raccoon Lodge. However, because of the limited quantity brewed, there’s a limit on how much you can take home — each person gets only two 750-ml bottles ($25 each).

Bottles start selling at 5 PM, so head to the Barrel House and enjoy some snacks while scooping up your Figaro get. This week’s food specials include a striped beet carpaccio ($3), grilled figs with cinnamon marscapone ($4) and pickled quail eggs with speck ($8). Sounds like a perfect start to the weekend.
