The husband and wife team, David Gilberg and Carla Gonçalves, are creating Koo Zee Doo as an homage to Carla’s Portuguese heritage. Though Carla spent her first 8 years in Portugal, she mostly identifies with Portuguese cuisine through her mother’s superb home cooking in the States.
