Philadelphia Microbrew and Music Fest to Support Hurricane Relief

Drink beer to support hurricane Harvey and Irma relief at the Philadelphia Microbrew and Music Fest on Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30.
The festival, which will take place at Festival Pier, will feature over 300 ciders, wines, meads and beers from brewers like Founders, Coppertail, Saint Benjamin’s, River Horse, Ommegang, Conshohocken Brewing, Urban Village and Austin Eastciders. The festival also includes a rare beer tour that enables festival goers to taste some coveted brews from the breweries that are attending.
Three stages of headliners such as Black Uhuru, DJ Logic, the Poncho Sanchez Band and an Allman Brothers tribute band will perform at the event. Other acts include the New Sound Brass Band, Space Cats, the West Philly Orchestra Marching Band, other DJs and local bands, spoken word and comedy acts. Other special features include a huge silent disco with 1500 LED wireless headsets and a 3D Pink Floyd laser light show.
General admission tickets are $55 and include a commemorative 8 oz tasting glass and five drink tokens. There is also a VIP package for $175 which includes, one hour early entry, a commemorative Belgian tasting glass, 10 drink tokens, VIP viewing stage viewing areas, private heated tents and bathrooms, food sampling, and a bonfire and game zone. All the proceeds of the festival will benefit charities such as the Houston Food Bank, Houston Humane Society and other Florida-based charities.
Friday’s VIP session begins at 5 PM with last call at 10:30 PM. Saturday’s session starts at 4 PM with last call at 10:30 PM.
