Each autumn, the coming holiday season is heralded by one of the best Belgian Ales in the region. When Mad Elf is released, Troegs has trouble keeping up with all the orders, as brew lovers drink up the cherry-tinged strong dark ale, chalice after chalice.

Happily, the folks at Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse have somehow gotten hold of a special keg of the stuff (hidden away in a cellar, perhaps?) and will be tapping it for this Thursday’s Xmas in July party. Regular happy hour will run for two hours starting at 5 PM, and the tapping of the Elf will take place at 7 PM.

Come dressed in Xmas gear to get free “Cav’s cash,” and enjoy a snow machine and holiday music, which will sound even better since you’re not sick of it already (plus, the 11% brew makes everything sound sweet). Everyone gets some kind of giveaway, too — the holiday spirit is alive and well, even in the summer.
