Las Bugambilias: A mother-daughter team from Mexico runs this quietly pretty restaurant off Headhouse Square. It's just far enough down South Street to escape most of the crowds but then be able to step right back into the action, after a couple of killer margaritas and bites, of course. If you are eating, don't miss the poblano soup.
