Eighth Annual Philly Zombie Crawl, March 31
The undead are frightfully thirsty. For the eighth year, drinkers in Philadelphia will celebrate the Easter resurrection the best way they know how — with a Zombie Crawl. Start at 6 PM at the TLA on South Street to get your zombie face on (makeup artists will be on hand) and listen to DJ tunes. Admission for a wristband is $5 per person.
At 7:45 at the TLA prizes will be awarded for most original and other zombilicious categories, after which a zombie march will take place, streaming out of the theater and looping around the block. At 8 PM, signature flick Night of the Living Dead will play on the big screen.
Afterwards, or during, zombies are encouraged to stumble off to a handful of other South Street bars, all of which will offer reanimated drink specials. Look for the undead deals at Tattooed Mom, Manny Brown’s, Lickety Split, Copabanana and The Legendary Dobbs.
At 10 PM the official Zombie Crawl closing party kicks off, with more DJs and live performances. After midnight, if you’re still not ready to sink back into the grave, head over to Fluid, for one of its last few parties before closing forever on April 6. Doors there open at 11 PM, and admission is free for those with wristbands ($5 cover otherwise).
