For the past five years, the corner of 11th and Ellsworth has been one of the least-pretentious, most-relaxed places to find a fantastic selection of craft beer at really great prices. However, it’s not selection alone that made Devil’s Den the winner of our 2013 Drinker’s Choice Award for Best Drink Specials. Happy hour deals on the 17 craft drafts make the bar even more representative of South Philly fun.

Owner Erin Wallace recently celebrated the bar’s fifth anniversary, and said she and partners opened it because “we were looking to create a place that we wanted to go to.” They sweeten the pot by bringing in brewers from all over for special events, and doing specials on featured breweries on a regular basis.

In addition to half-off all drafts from 5–7 PM, Monday–Friday, Devil’s Den offers half off the tapas menu, so you can make sure you stay alert while downing those craft brews (don’t miss the pork belly mac ‘n’ cheese or the chickpea fries).  There’s outdoor seating now, too, so you can enjoy a fresh breeze with your bites and sips.
