Philadelphia Zoo Summer Ale Festival, July 20
Beer and bites meet bears and birds at the Philadelphia Zoo’s Summer Ale Festival, back for another year on Saturday, July 20. Hang out with your friends in the company of exotic animals at this craft beer and food fest that takes place throughout the zoo’s lush grounds and exhibits.
Your $65 ticket (here) includes entrance to the 6:30–10 PM event, a souvenir tasting cup an all you can eat food plus craft beer tasting pours at more than 30 stations and free parking at the zoo. If you’re coming via public transit, you can hop a ride on the free shuttle from 30th Street Station.
There’s a VIP option available for $95, with the added bonus of access to a private VIP area for the first two hours of the event, which will feature additional beer and food pairings. Designated drivers can attend for just $35 (includes food but not beer, obviously).
Jump on the tickets now, because there’s no getting in at the door, and you know you’ve always wanted to drink with those crazy orangutans — the original party animal.
