Cured & Crafted Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma , Thurs., Feb. 20
Join eight of the city's greatest chefs as they celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma at the Power Plant in Old City. On Thursday, February 20, you can join these chefs as they prepare custom dishes featuring prosciutto di Parma and pair them with craft beers. The line up includes:
Joe Cicala of Le Virtu paired with Peroni Brewery
Mike Deganis of Osteria paired with Ama Brewery
Luke Palladino of Luke Palladino Hospitality Group paired with Flying Fish Brewery
Mike Santoro of The Mildred paired with Yards Brewery
Jeremy Nolen of Brauhaus Schmitz paired with Ommegang Brewery
David Ansill of Bar Ferdinand paired with Stoudt Brewery
Doug Allen of Lacroix paired with Brooklyn Brewery
Mike Sultan of Street Food Philly paired with Otter Creek Brewery
There's even a special prosciutto dessert planned by Sweetbox.
Dishes will be judged by a panel of esteemed foodies from across the city, and one will be crowned King of Parma. Cocktails by Philadelphia Distilling will also be served up if you happen to get bored of all the awesome craft beers you'll be sipping. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased here.
If you're feeling particulary daring, there will be a tattoo artist on site to give you a Parma Croawn tat. If you get the tattoo, you'll walk away with a whole leg of Prosciutto di Parma!
