Bierstube Now Pouring Beers From 41 Taps
Old City’s Bierstube recently upgraded its draft system with the addition of new beer towers that brings the German bar’s total number of tap handles up from 16 to 40 — 41, if you’re counting the new handpump.
Owner Michael Naessens told Drink Philly that he’s dedicating eight of those new taps to local beers, especially those that mimic classic German styles. Naturally, a well rounded selection of German imports will account for some of the remaining 33 lines, along with American craft brews, Belgians, special one-offs, and other rarities.
