Brewers Association Names Two Local Breweries Among the Nation's Top 50
The Brewers Association, the Colorado based non-profit trade association that represents the majority of U.S. breweries, released its annual list of Top 50 Breweries this week, and barley and hops nerds from around the greater Philadelphia area will surely recognize two local craft beer concerns that made the cut this year.
Coming in at lucky-number 13 is Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales, the Milton. Delaware producer of such extraordinary beers as 60 Minute IPA, Piercing Pils and the Grateful Dead-inspired American Beauty.
Also repping the home turf is Victory Brewing Company, which comes in at number 28. As Drink Philly has mentioned before, the Downingtown-based maker of Hop Devil, Prima Pils and Hop Ranch, recently fired up production at its new 140,000 square foot production facility in nearby Parkesburg, PA, which has us convinced that Victory will move up on future Top 50 Breweries lists.
