Celebrate the coming of summer and the great neighborhood of Francisville at this weekend’s blowout block party at the Flying Carpet Cafe & Bar. Summer may still be a few weeks out, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun in the sun.

The celebration starts at 1 PM with games, food, drinks, music, and so much more. The best part is that the whole family is invited! Bring the kids, the dog, grandma, everyone. Play games like basketball and speed pitch, then try your hand at the dunk tank and move on to some face painting.

If you’re feeling a bit peckish after playing all those games, there will be bbq and food trucks like Chewy’s and Pitruco Pizza on site, as well as food by Flying Carpet. The event is sponsored by Southern Tier Brewing, so there will be plenty of craft beer to go around. Look for Southern Tier’s Farmer’s Tan, Eurotrash Pilz, LIVE, and Hop Sun.

If we haven’t caught your attention yet, how about some tunes? There will be live music all day long by The Philly Reggae Band, Manifested, and Mazel Tov Cocktail just to name a few.

To top it all off, this shindig is a fundraiser for the wonderful Mural Arts Program! You can’t go anywhere in the city without stumbling across some of their awesome work. So what are you waiting for? Get this date down in your calendar, and get ready to party!
