Enjoy a Night of Delicious Food & Drink to Benefit No Kid Hungry at Taste of the Nation, April 27
If you thought Sundays were for sitting around in your pajama pants and binge watching that show all your friends are talking about, you’d only be partially right. This Sunday is also for combating hunger. That sounds like a big undertaking for a Sunday evening, but it’s easy with Taste of the Nation.
Taste of the Nation is a culinary benefit for the No Kid Hungry campaign. “One in two Philadelphia kids has gone to a food pantry...Food is meant to be enjoyed; not cause worry and heartache,” said David Katz, Chef Chair of Taste of the Nation. Chefs from over 30 restaurants are coming together and serving up some delicious dishes, drinks, and desserts for you to enjoy. Some restaurants you can expect to see are Alla Spina, Brauhaus Schmitz, Creekstone Farms, Devil’s Den, High Street on Market, Serrano, South Philadelphia Tap Room, Townsend, The Twisted Tail, and many more.
The event runs from 6 to 9 PM at Hotel Monaco. Tickets are still available for $95 for general admission, or $145 for VIPs with 100% of proceeds benefiting No Kid Hungry. VIP admission includes an extra hour of tasting and drinking (doors for VIP open at 5 PM), entrance to the Beef Tartare Smackdown sponsored by Creekstone Farms, and an invitation to the chef after party along with two drink tickets. There will also be a silent auction throughout the night with items like a Philadelphia sports package, Uber gift card, a wine tasting at Penns Woods Winery, and much more. Tickets are available online.
