As you all know, last week was Philly Beer Week, and in our opinion, it was one of the best ones yet. We laughed, we danced, we drank, and some of us even got slimed as Dunkel Dare returned to Frankford Hall for a third year.

Famed Double Dare host, Marc Summers, was joined again by Double Dare announcer, John Harvey. Double Dare assistant, Robin Russo, was also in attendance helping contestants with whacky props and presenting prizes like a single, worn Reebok, a non-functioning boombox, and a gigantic rolodex.

On Wednesday, two rounds were played to determine which breweries would be facing off in Thursday’s final round. The team from Victory went up against reigning champs, Great Lakes, and Yards faced new comer, Paulaner. Victory defeated Great Lakes by a landslide in the first night, and Yards took victory of Paulaner, making for a Philadelphia brewery showdown on Thursday, which was ultimately won by Victory in a neck and neck physical challenge that determined the winner. Celebrity guests again included Fox29’s Mike Jerrick and Preston and Steve’s Marisa Magnatta, who were joined this year by Fox29’s Jenn Frederick and Philly Beer Scene’s Mat Falco. Lucky Instagramer, Jackiebakescake, won the #SlimeMe contest and joined the Victory team on both nights of competition.
