Where to Celebrate Christmas in July in Philadelphia
If you thought Christmas in July was just some cheesy gimmick employed by used car salesmen and discount appliance stores, you are wrong. The custom has transcended the drink and food world, bringing out so much joyful merriment, it’s kind of, almost like the most wonderful time of the year, except that the temperatures are 50 to 60 degrees warmer. Revolution House (200 Market St.; 215-625-4566)
The Revolution House gets things going on Thursday, July 24 (Christmas in July eve?) at 7 PM. Throughout the evening they will serve Mad Elf, Sly Fox’s Christmas Ale, Evil Twin Brewing Christmas Eve at a New York City Hotel Room Imperial Stout, and Spring House Brewing Co. The Martians Kidnapped Santa! (Egg Nog Stout) while screening Christmas movies up on their second floor. Admission is $15, or $14 with the donation of one canned food item, which will be turned over to Philabundance.

On Friday, July 25, the Field House will tap some special Christmas kegs they’ve been hoarding, including Troegs Mad Elf, Bell's Christmas and Great Lakes Christmas.

Also on July 25, Red Owl Tavern will tap a barrel of Troegs Mad Elf.
Philly Homebrew Outlet (1447 N. American St.; 215-755-4556)
From now until July 25, Philly Homebrew Outlet will offer 25 percent off all hops and grains; 15 percent off beginner homebrew kits; 10 percent off books, bottles, kettles, cleaners and sanitizers.
