SugarHouse Expansion to Include Four New Restaurants
Though the dining options leave a little to be desired, SugarHouse Casino has consistently come up mostly as a winner when it comes to drinks. Now it’s looking like the city’s riverfront casino is going to get a second crack at it’s restaurant situation.
Yesterday saw the groundbreaking for a new expansion project that will more than double the size of the place. According to Curbed, the $164 million development will bring four new restaurants to SugarHouse, plus a ballroom and event space, a 30-table poker room, seven-story garage and an additional 40,000 square feet of gaming space.
There are no details now about what type of restaurants are going in, or who will operate them, but no matter how you slice it, it’s going to be an improvement. The project is expected to be completed in two years.
