New Details Emerge on What's Next for Resurrection Ale House
A few weeks back, we mentioned that Grays Ferry Avenue standby Resurrection Ale House was under agreement of sale, and ultimately would cease to exist once that pending deal is sealed.
At that time, not much was known about the owners-in-waiting, nor what they had in mind for the much admired neighborhood joint. The only tidbits revealed were that the new owners were hospitality vets and they wanted to keep a low profile until the transaction was complete.
Now there’s word about who the duo is, and what changes they have in mind for post-Resurrection Ale House reign.
The owners are Andrew Wagner and Marcus Versace, a Starr Restaurants chef with a dozen years in the organization under his belt, and longtime bartender from Coco’s and Las Vegas Lounge, respectively, according to Meal Ticket.
And of the two’s plans for going forward? They’re on record as saying, “a friendly, neighborhood bar and restaurant with value, high energy, a fun atmosphere and great food and drink.”
Sounds a lot like what Resurrection’s owners Leigh Maida and Brendan Hartranft have been serving up all along.
