Mazel Tov: Abe Fisher Introduces Happy Hour
Abe Fisher, restaurateurs Steven Cook and Michael Solomonov’s tribute to the far flung Jewish cooking traditions from around the world, just introduced some pretty sweet happy hour action.
The new hours of happiness will be offered daily — that includes Saturdays and Sundays — from 5 - 6 PM at the restaurant's bar. Guests can enjoy plates, wine by the glass and cocktails for just $7 a piece.
Abe Fihser’s beverage director Brian Kane ‘s original cocktails include the namesake Abe Fisher Cocktail, which keeps kosher with a splash of dill pickle juice added to Beefeater 24 and Dolin dry vermouth; The Cherry Orchard, vodka, maraschino liqueur, sour cherry, lime, bitters; and Nobody Expects the Spanish Inquisition, Barbancourt 8-year rum, Pedro Ximenez sherry, Gran Marnier, beet juice.
A temperature controlled, pressurized wine dispensing system at the bar makes 17 different varietals ranging from Gotham Project Pinot Noir (Lodi, 2012) to Lionel Osmin Columbard (Fronton, 2013) available by the glass.
The $7 plates include everything from Abe Fisher’s Borscht Tartare and Salmon Belly Gravlax to its Veal Schnitzel Tacos and Sweet and Sour Meatballs. Check out the full menu and drinks list here.
