Zavino in University City Updates Its Cocktail List for Fall
The Chestnut Square outpost of wood-fired pizzeria Zavino at 3200 Chestnut Street in University City just finished updating its cocktail list for fall.
The six new libations offer drinkers a bevvy of autumnal tastes that pair perfectly with the restaurant and bar’s wood-fired pizzas, handcrafted pasta dishes, seasonal veggie plates and Italian-style charcuterie. Not to mention, providing a little warmth on crisp fall evenings. Familiar seasonal flavors include apple cider and ginger snaps in the Snap & Cider, the obligatory pumpkin and spice in the Smashed Pumpkin and pear in the Impeared.

Saint Hibiscus
New Amsterdam Vodka, St. Germaine, hibiscus syrup and Ca’Furlan Prosecco in a champagne flute with lemon peel and hibiscus flower.
Snap & Cider
Snap Gingersnap spirit and Zeigler’s Apple Cider in a rocks glass, garnished with a whole cinnamon stick .
Smashed Pumpkin
Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, apple juice, pumpkin butter, and cream
Harvest Sangria
Wine, fall fruit and spices served over ice and garnished with a cinnamon stick.
Some Kind of Old Fashioned
Bird Dog Bourbon whiskey, muddle orange and brandied cherries, cranberry bitters and rosemary syrup served on the rocks and garnished with a srig of fresh rosemary.
Impeared
Amsterdam Gin, pear nectar, and rosemary and clove syrup.
