PHeaST Brings an Evening of Farm-Fresh Fun to the Navy Yard, Fri., Oct. 17
While the big draw of Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s PHeaST typically is the spectacularly lavish spread that the region’s top culinary talent turns out to showcase the cornucopia of goods produced by local growers, the annual autumn celebration also boasts an equally impressive array of drinking options.
When it returns to the The PHS Warehouse at the Navy Yard on Friday, October 17, the giant garden-to-table party will feature Fruits of the Vine wine pull with more than 100 different bottles. Plus there will be plenty of beer and cocktails from PHeaST Sip Partners like Philadelphia Distilling, Dad’s Hat Rye, La Colombe, Yards Brewing Company and more.
Participating restaurants include Vetri Family Restaurants, Supper, Indeblue Restaurant and Bar and Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery, just name a few.
PHeaST-goers can cast votes to decide which chef’s dish is worthy of the People’s Choice Award. Ticket holders will also be randomly selected to win gift certificates to participating restaurants.
Ticket prices range from $275 to $300 for VIP and $135 to $150 for general admission. Proceeds benefit PHS’s City Harvest Program, which provides locally grown foods to more than 1,200 families in need each week during the growing season.
