Grey Lodge Pub Celebrates 31st 'Friday the Firkinteenth' and Second Firkinteenth of 2015

For the 31st time in more than 17 years, Northeast Philly's legendary Grey Lodge Pub will celebrate a Friday that falls on the 13th of the month with a smorgasbord of cask-conditioned ales.

Wrenching the bedeviled date from the likes of black cats, publican Mike "Scoats" Scotese makes the day into a beer geek’s dream with Friday the Firkinteenth.

Yes, February had a Friday the 13th, but that means March has one as well. This Friday will mark the 31st Friday the Firkinteenth, and boasts some of the best firkin' beers around.

For this Firkinteenth, things will run similarly to the last few. That is, Grey Lodge will split the casks into two sessions, a day session, beginning at noon, and an evening session beginning at 6 PM. Also back are the “I Kicked a Firkin at Friday the Firkinteenth” T-shirts for those lucky enough to kick a firkin. Check out the full list of firkins lined up for the fest below:

Day Session: 12 PM to 6 PM

Cape May Turtle Gut
Evil Genius Mango Wit
Flying Fish Farmhouse with lemon, ginger and honey
Heavy Seas Cross Bones Session IPA with citra, simcoe and amarillo
