Grey Lodge Pub Celebrates 31st 'Friday the Firkinteenth' and Second Firkinteenth of 2015

For the 31st time in more than 17 years, Northeast Philly's legendary Grey Lodge Pub will celebrate a Friday that falls on the 13th of the month with a smorgasbord of cask-conditioned ales.
 
Wrenching the bedeviled date from the likes of black cats, publican Mike "Scoats" Scotese makes the day into a beer geek’s dream with Friday the Firkinteenth.
 
Yes, February had a Friday the 13th, but that means March has one as well. This Friday will mark the 31st Friday the Firkinteenth, and boasts some of the best firkin' beers around. 

For this Firkinteenth, things will run similarly to the last few. That is, Grey Lodge will split the casks into two sessions, a day session, beginning at noon, and an evening session beginning at 6 PM. Also back are the “I Kicked a Firkin at Friday the Firkinteenth” T-shirts for those lucky enough to kick a firkin. Check out the full list of firkins lined up for the fest below:

Flying Fish Farmhouse with lemon, ginger and honey
Heavy Seas Cross Bones Session IPA with citra, simcoe and amarillo
Long Trail Stand Out Pale Ale, dry hopped with citra brewed with citra and the new and elusive Equinox hop
Neshaminy Creek Cream Ale cask conditioned straight up
Philly Pennsy Pale Ale extra loaded up with hops
Prism Raspberry ParTea Pale Ale
Round Guys Fear of a Brett Planet with tequila soaked oak chips
Sly Fox Seamus, dry hopped with some "estate grown hops" from the brewery. Either Chinook or Cascade.

Yards Grapefruit Philly Pale Ale

Night Session: 6 PM to 12 AM

Boaks Flamethrower Belgian Wheat Beer with Asian and Mexican flair
Conshohocken Single Hop Centennial

Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA
Free Will Mango Wheat with mangoes and Brux
Helltown Purgatory
Ithaca Flower Power, dry hopped with citra and orange peel
Manayunk Clutch Peanut Butter Porter
Naked Jalapeno Bizzness Saison aged with jalapeno peppers (not too overpowering with heat, but nice jalapeno flavor)
Rivertowne TBD
St. Benjamin Inca dry hopped with simcoe and amarillo
