Morgan's Pier Now Open for the 2015 Season

Morgan's Pier Now Open for the 2015 Season

The beautiful waterfront retreat that is Morgan’s Pier will open today, April 30, for its fourth season. Hours for the 2015 season are Monday through Friday, 4 PM–2 AM and Saturday and Sunday, 11 AM–2 AM. The kitchen hours are 5–10 PM on weekdays and 11 AM–10 PM on weekends.

This season, Nicholas Elmi of Laurel is behind the menu. Classics, like burgers and fried chicken, mix and mingle with plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options like the gluten free Grilled Turkey Tails glazed with a red wine aigre-doux. Other menu items that caught our eye include the Dancing Tater Tots, an Asian-inspired poutine with Asian spiced seaweed and sesame seeds, mayo and dried, smoked tuna, the Crab Beignet with grilled ramp tartar sauce and the vegan No Evil Foods Stallion Dog, a veggie sausage with long hots and scallions.

A brunch menu will also be available on the weekends featuring selections from the regular menu alongside dishes like the French Toast Bread Pudding, a 1732 Meats Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich and Green Meadow Scrapple and Eggs.

And, of course, you’ll need something to wash it all down with. Specialty cocktails for the season include a Watermelon Ricky featuring 21st Amendment’s Hell or High Watermelon and watermelon puree, Cool Rye Lemonade made with Bulleit Rye, homemade lemonade and brown sugar mint syrup, a Mango Shandy featuring local Commonwealth Cider and mango puree and many more summer sips. If cocktails aren’t for you, look for plenty of draft and bottled beer from near and far and red, white and sparkling wines to help you cool off on a hot summer night.

Morgan’s Pier is located at 221 N Columbus Boulevard. Check out morganspier.com or call 215-279-7134 for more information.
