SouthGate, Former Home of Tangier, Introduces Happy Hour
As far as food goes, there are three equally-delicious sounding price tiers: $3 gets you either SouthGate “trail mix”, fries (which come either spicy or plain), or honey butter popcorn; $5 gets you house-made pretzels with two dipping sauces (gochujang mustard or scallion sesame butter) or sweet potato fritters; and $6 gets you Korean-fried chicken sandwiches with pickles and housemade sauce.
Drinks include $6 for a variety of wines, including red and white sangria plus house wines, $4 Sapporos, and SouthGate’s own twist on the Citywide, which is a shot of Soju and a Sapporo for (of course) $5.
Happy hour runs from 5–6:30 PM, Tuesday–Sunday, so get down there for some unique bar snacks and to check yet another Citywide variation off your bucket list.
