Dashing Rogue and Home Brewed Events Make Hosting the Best Craft Beer Dinner Party Easy
With Thanksgiving behind us and winter celebrations fast approaching, many of us are probably dreading the sight of our kitchens right about now. Slaving away over a hot stove for hours on end to serve up a holiday meal with all the trimmings isn’t everyone’s ideal afternoon. This holiday season, why not leave meal prep to the professionals? The Dashing Rogue and Home Brewed Events are here to save you the hassle of planning and preparing, leaving you free to enjoy yourself and your guests.
We were lucky enough to see these professionals at work while recently attending a dinner hosted by both The Dashing Rogue and Home Brewed Events. It was a delectably wonderful experience we won’t soon forget. The six-course meal was prepared by The Dashing Rogue while Home Brewed Events handled the beer pairings.
If you love the idea of a dinner party but don’t love the preparation and cleanup that goes into hosting one, The Dashing Rogue is your answer. Many may consider the dinner party a lost art, but business partners Shannon Maria Jones and Ian Boston McCafferty are out to prove otherwise one pairing at a time. The duo’s mission is to provide exceptional beer and food pairings to give you an in-home dinner experience unlike any other.
The Dashing Rogue lets you sit back and relax with your guests while the pair takes over your kitchen. Jones and McCafferty take care of everything from menu planning to dish washing. Don’t have matching flatware for all your guests? Not a problem for The Dashing Rogue who also provides plates, glassware, napkins, and will even bring in their own pots and pans.
A Dashing Rogue dinner is fully customizable from start to finish. The dinner we attended featured courses like deviled eggs with fried capers, lemon, and parsley, beet stained scallops with autumnal vegetables, chocolate stout braised short ribs with butternut squash risotto, and chipotle molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream. From vegans and vegetarians to the most carnivorous among us, everyone is sure to walk away full and happy. Everything we tried was expertly prepared and left us wishing the duo could cook for us every night.
And we can’t forget about the flawless beer pairings that accompanied each course. Home Brewed Events did an incredible job of finding beers that didn’t overshadow or outshine a paired plate, but instead complimented and balanced each dish’s flavors. One of our favorite pairings of the evening was Dogfish Head’s Namaste paired with the deviled eggs. The notes of orange and lemongrass in the beer wonderfully accentuated the brightness of the lemon in the deviled eggs.
But beer pairings are only one part of what Home Brewed Events has to offer. Meredith and Garrett Williams are also beer educators offering introductions to homebrewing as well as tasting classes and food pairings right in your home. Much like The Dashing Rogue, Home Brewed Events will bring along all the materials and equipment needed for a brew day or tasting session. That way, all you need to worry about is enjoying yourself and hopefully learning a thing or two about craft beer.
We can’t recommend either of these companies enough. The Dashing Rogue and Home Brewed Events will both provide you with an exceptionally warm and educational experience whether that be a craft beer dinner or a homebrew class.
