Urban Farmer Opens at the Former Four Seasons With a Serious Cocktail Program

The Four Seasons is now The Logan, and The Fountain, the Four Seasons’ former restaurant, has been completely transformed into a modern yet rustic space called Urban Farmer, Sage Restaurant Group’s locally inspired steakhouse that already has locations in Cleveland and Portland.

Beyond its farm-to-table, locally sourced menu, Urban Farmer will be working with a comprehensive and locally-inspired cocktail menu that uses housemade syrups, infused liqueurs, and Philly made spirits, like Penn 1681 Vodka, Bluecoat Gin, and Creme Yvette (all of which are made by Philadelphia Distilling), and La Colombe Different Drum coffee rum. Corporate Beverage Director Brandon Wise created the menu with a local, farm-to-table concept in mind, and aimed for an approachable yet totally unique list of cocktails -- which we can say he certainly achieved. Each cocktail is meticulously planned out, even down to its name (or example, the Forty-Fifth Ascension, a refreshing vodka drink, refers to the first aerial voyage made right here in Philadelphia in 1793). All cocktails will sell for $14, to keep the menu affordable and easy to navigate.

Wise’s resume is impressive, to say the least -- as a current member of the United States Bartending Guild’s Nominating Committee and the President of the Oregon Bartenders Guild, Wise has worked in a huge variety of restaurants and created several cocktail concepts for Sage Restaurant Group’s collection of eateries.

Check out Wise’s cocktail offerings below, but don’t forget about the beer and wine lists while you’re visiting Urban Farmer, as they’ll be serving a carefully curated list of wines alongside a rotating list of local craft drafts. Urban Farmer is slated to open to the public on December 18, so keep an eye on this Logan Square spot as we head into the holiday season.
