Fishtown Bakery Introduces Yards Beer-Based "Beeramisu"
Forget cronuts, rainbow bagels, and bacon egg creams — there’s a new dessert fad in town and it’s called “Beeramisu.”
One Fishtown bakery is using Yards’ Love Stout, which already contains chocolate and coffee notes, to craft an inspired spin on an old dessert favorite. Ramona Susan’s, which is located at 1225 Marlborough Street, has begun soaking the traditional tiramisu base of ladyfingers in a concentrate of the Love Stout plus a little barley, and to create this tower of deliciousness, they layer those soaked ladyfingers with a mascarpone mousse that contains notes of rum and coffee. The entire concoction is created in a Yards pint glass, which the customer can then keep. All this deliciousness will only set you back $10.
Ramona Susan’s is a small bake shop without any seating, but you can stop in and pick up a Beeramisu to go for the entire month of March.
