Dunkel Dare with Marc Summers Returns to Frankford Hall For Philly Beer Week 2016, June 8 & 9

We just got word that what is possibly the best — and is definitely the messiest — event of Philly Beer Week is coming back once again. Marc Summers will return to Frankford Hall to host Dunkel Dare, pitting brewers against one another in a frenzy of absurd food-and-drink-related obstacle courses. This year, he'll be joined by two very special guests — Robin Marella Russo and John Harvey, two of Summers' co-hosts from Double Dare itself.
The original Double Dare host will lead the crowd in cheering on contestants as they play games like "Pie in the Pants" and "High-Five" and tackle the "Slopstacle Course" on both Wednesday, June 8 (for rounds 1 and 2) and Thursday, June 9 (for the championship round).
Each team will consist of brewery employees alongside local celebrities, and the last teammate will be pulled from the audience during the event! If you're worried about grabbing a table, you can enter this year's Instagram contest — head over to Frankford Hall, take a photo with Double Dare's very own nose prop (which will be on display in the beer hall starting on May 1), and use the hashtag #SlimeMe for a chance to win reserved seating for up to 10 people. Winners will be announced via Starr social media on June 3, and the prize includes access to the front of the line and a dedicated server.
Guests are welcome for both nights — beer will be pay as you go, and there will be a $10 cover charge at the door until Frankford Hall is at capacity. Aside from the contest, entry is first-come, first-serve — so get there early!
