The Philadelphia Zoo Will Now Serve Alcohol
Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend and for the first time ever, the Philadelphia Zoo will start serving beer and wine at two of its terraces.
In an effort to have more adult-centered amenities at the zoo, Tiger Terrace and Eagle’s Roost will each serve 2 wines from Robert Mondavi and 3 beers (Bud Light, Stella Artois, and Goose Island 312), and each drink will be served in eco-friendly cups. All of the beers will cost $6 and the wines will cost $8.
Hopefully this is just the beginning of the Zoo’s beverage program — especially considering that there’s so many great local beers like Victory or Yards that could find a place on their menus — but since the zoo has never featured any bars before, this is a pretty great start.
