About Conte D'Attimis-Maniago:
Conte d’Attimis-Maniago is located in Buttrio, Friuli (Northeastern Italy) — more specifically, in the sub-appellation of Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC. The estate is family-owned and contains over 110 hectares of vineyards. The noble family (Conte means "Count") received ownership of production in 1585, but the family dynasty dates back to as early as 774.

"We are proud of our past; it is a heritage rich in tradition and experience from which to glean strength and learn important lessons. The story of my family and the tradition of my land are essential pieces of our current business philosophy because they force me to commit to what I have received from those who came before me and to what I will leave to those who come after. They also constantly inspire our innovative spirit and desire to improve." -Alberto d'Attimis

Tazzalenghe:

Tazzelenghe wine is produced from 100% Tazzelenghe (“Tacelenghe”) grapes, an ancient indigenous Friuli vine that has recently been rediscovered and vinified, to preserve its original and traditional characteristics. The grape is naturally acidic and benefits greatly from oak aging and time in the cellar. Alberto allows the wine 2-3 years or more (depending on the vintage) to mellow in oak and 9 additional months in the bottle before even being labelled. The wine is robust and structured, with an elegant bouquet of pressed violets and anise.

About South Italy Imports:

South Italy Imports, founded in 2001, was originally conceived as a supplier of Southern Italian products, specifically for the restaurant industry. Though its original focus was on ingredients like tomatoes, pizza sauces, artisanal pastas and extra virgin olive oil, the company expanded in 2005 and began importing wines from their first vineyard, Cantore di Castelforte. In 2009, Bill Binczak, the company’s president, created a new business model that focused on introducing Americans to indigenous wines from all 20 regions of Italy. Today, the company partners with 21 vineyards in 14 regions across Italy, and is committed to developing their wine portfolio in order to showcase Italy’s numerous and diverse varietals.
