Brauhaus Schmitz Hosts Huge Oktoberfest Celebrations at the 23rd Street Armory, Oct. 7-9

Brauhaus Schmitz is turning Philadelphia into Munich this Columbus Day Weekend with their 23rd Street Armory Oktoberfest. The 16,000 square foot space will house four separate Oktoberfest sessions accommodating up to 1500 folks with German food, beer, music and fun!

Authentic German concessions will be served as well as beer from Munich’s Hofbräuhaus. Guests will also have a chance to win a trip to Germany sponsored by Lufthansa. Raffle tickets will be sold for $3 at each of the sessions and the winner will be announced Sunday.

The armory will be decked out in traditional Oktoberfest fashion with Bavarian blue and white ceilings and festival tables and benches imported from Germany. There will also be a lofted stage to house the Alex Meixner Band, the Heimatklange Band and Bavarski who will keep the polka going all weekend.

Tickets are $45 for general admission and include all you can eat Bavarian food concessions, first liter of beer, a souvenir one-liter glass stein and live entertainment. Additionally, for $65 VIP guests will also enjoy reserved seating by the stage, table service, a VIP quick entrance, and brotzeit (meat & cheese board) on your table when you arrive.

The first session is on Friday, October 7 from 7–11 PM, the second and third on Saturday, October 8 from 1–5 PM and 7–11 PM, and the fourth is all day on Sunday, October 9 from 12–10 PM.
