Pennsylvania Has Officially Freed the Six Pack
We’ve kept you updated on Pennsylvania’s recent saga of becoming a more relaxed state when it came to alcohol laws. We’re happy to announce again that you have more options when it comes to buying beer as of Tuesday.
Pennsylvania’s 1,200 beer distributors had been limited to selling only large quantities of beer, 12 packs or more, but now they are able to sell beer of any quantity including 32 ounce bottles, growlers and of course the six pack.
This law enables customers easier access to smaller quantities of beer and variety in more locations so it will be easier to try the latest craft brew without breaking the bank of a 24 pack.
Other PLCB changes that went into effect include bars being able to serve alcohol beginning at 9 AM on Sundays, regardless of if they sell food or not. Sporting venues are also allowed to sell mixed drinks now, and Pennsylvania residents may now subscribe to beer of the month clubs that ship directly to your house.
