Theresa Lazzari, one of Southwark’s beloved chefs who has been with the restaurant since day one, was recently diagnosed with cancer and is ready to fight it, so Southwark is doing everything they can to help one of their own. For $50 per person (cash only), you’ll be able to enjoy all you can eat and drink, and they’ve got lots of great partners beyond their kitchen and bar on hand to help out. Alongside a pig roast on the patio, they’ll have potluck-style side dishes donated by Kensington Quarters, Banh Mi & Bottles, Friday Saturday Sunday, will byob, Serpico Philadelphia, Ela, Shola A Olunloyo, Fork, Bistrot La Minette, The Good King Tavern, Mission Taqueria and Sean Martelli, and to drink, they’ll have Moscow Mules on tap courtesy of 13th Street Cocktails along with plenty of wine and beer. They’ll also feature a raffle where guests can enter to win great prizes from local restaurants, and all the proceeds from the day will go towards helping Theresa through her recovery.
