Where to Drink on Christmas Day 2017 in Philadelphia

While a lot of people may celebrate Christmas Day at home with family, that doesn’t work for all of us! Here’s a list of bars open on Christmas, so you can get out for a bit if the eggnog runs dry or the ham comes out burnt.
 
12 Steps Down (831 Christian St.)
Open from 7 PM–2 AM. Eagles game will be on with sound.
 
American Sardine Bar (1800 Federal St.)
Open from 5 PM-2 AM with happy hour from 5 PM-7 PM.
 
Bottle Bar (1308 Frankford Ave.)
Bottle shop open at 11:30 AM. Bar and kitchen open pen 3 PM–2 AM. Eagles game will be on.
 
Bru Craft & Wurst (1318 Chestnut St.)
Open from 9 PM-2 AM, kitchen is closed.
 
Cavanaugh’s Headhouse (421 S 2nd St.)
Open from 7 PM–2 AM. Eagles game will be on.
 
Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse (1823 Sansom St.)
Open from 7 PM–2 AM. Eagles game will be on.
 
Dim Sum House (3939 Chestnut St.)
Open from 11:30 AM-10 PM with a full menu.
 
Doobies (2201 Lombard St.)
Open from 8 PM–2 AM. Eagles game will be on.
 
Green Room (1940 Green St.)
Open from 3 PM-2 AM. Eagles game will be on with specials.  
 
Grey Lodge Pub (6235 Frankford Ave.)
First floor open from 7 PM–2 AM. Eagles game will be on and they’ll be serving lodge nog and lots of Christmas beers for the special day.
 
Jane G's (1930 Chestnut St.)
Open from 11:30 AM-10 PM with a full menu and specials like Peking Duck, cinnamon corn huskers, and dumpling sampler platters.
 
Little Lion (243 Chestnut St.)
Open from 9 AM–4 PM with a special Christmas brunch buffet, including buffalo biscuits and gravy and red velvet stuffed French toast. From 4 PM–9 PM, they’re also offering a dinner buffet featuring seafood and BBQ.
 
National Mechanics (22 S 3rd St.)
Open from 5 PM-2 AM
 
O'Neals Pub (611 S 3rd St.)
Open from 11 AM–2 AM, kitchen open until 1 AM. Happy hour is from 4:30 PM-6:30 PM. Eagles game will be on.
 
Paper Street Pub (4630 Umbria St.)
Open from 6 PM-2 AM. Eagles game will be on.
 
South Philly Bar & Grill (1235 E Passyunk Ave.)
Open from 5 PM-2 AM. Eagles game will be on.
 
South Philly Tap Room (1509 Mifflin St.)
Open from 5 PM-2 AM with happy hour from 5 PM-7 PM. Eagles game will be on.
 
Square 1682 (121 S 17th St.)
Open from 8 AM-1 PM for brunch with classics like steak and eggs and frittatas. From 3 PM-9 PM they’ll also be serving a three course pre-fixe Christmas dinner for $55.
 
Taproom on 19th (2400 S 19th St.)
Open from 2 PM–2 AM with 1/2 priced burgers and wings, $2.50 Miller bottles and $4 Founders pints. Eagles game will be on.
 
Red Owl Tavern (433 Chestnut St.)
Open from 8 AM–3 PM  and 5 PM-10 PM with a special Chinatown pop-up feast including Peking Duck, ramen and General Tso’s chicken.
 
Urban Farmer (1850 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy.)
Enjoy a Christmas dinner featuring oxtail soup, goose breast and ribeye from 5 PM-8 PM.
 
Union Tap House (4810 Umbria St.)
Open from 7 PM-2 AM. Eagles game will be on and a special tapping of Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout will take place at 8 PM.
