On Monday, March 12 from 6 PM - 7:30 PM at High Street on Market, Women in Spirits and the Philadelphia chapter of the United States Bartender's Guild (the USBG) will host a panel of Women in the Spirits Industry. Moderated by Swabreen Bakr, the panel will be comprised of Jenee Craver (ITV and the current President of Philly's USBG chapter), Meredith Maciolek (Sazerac Co.), Etinosa Emokpae (Walnut Street Café), and Nina Starner (Drink Philly). After the discussion, the guests and audience are invited to join the panelists at Fork Restaurant for a meet-and-greet happy hour. It's free to attend, but you are required to RSVP to rewing@diageoconsultant.com.

Meanwhile, bars around the city will sponsor pop-ups featuring popular female bartenders from Philadelphia, including Jenee Craver, Daniela Diaz, Madison Reynolds, Mary Wood, and Erica Carter, with those locations yet to be determined.
If you want to follow up the panel with a spirits tasting, you can attend the High End Scotch Dinner at Royal Boucherie on Tuesday, March 13 from 5 PM - 8 PM with Rachael Ewing (on behalf of Diageo Reserve Brands) and special guest Amanda Victoria from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society in the U.S. Industry professionals and consumers alike can purchase a ticket for $35 per person, where they'll taste samples from both Diageo and the Whisky Society, with the identities of each sample revealed at the end, alongside three courses. Get your tickets here.
There's no better way to celebrate International Women's Day than with education and great spirits, so check out any one of these events to learn more about the women working within the city's spirits industry.
