Red Owl Tavern at the Hotel Monaco is Featuring a New Spring Cocktail Menu
The Ruby Sunrise (Tito's Vodka, prosecco, rose water, pomegranate, grapefruit)
Red Owl Tavern, located in Old City's Hotel Monaco, has rolled out a new spring cocktail menu featuring fresh, seasonal drinks made with local ingredients and top shelf spirits, some of which are produced right here in Philadelphia.
Head bartender Kyle Darrow says he finds inspiration in everything, from his young son's affinity for fresh fruit to what his regulars order to current drink trends, and that he keeps detailed notes in order to create his new menus. A childlike sense of wonder and creativity is key, as Kyle says his bar staff is equally as curious about new experiments - "when one of us gets a 'crazy idea,' everyone goes along with it."
From stiff gin cocktails to cream drinks that wouldn't be out of place at a tropical resort, you'll have to stop in and try Darrow's menu, which is pictured both above and below, next time you're walking by Independence Mall.
