Harp & Crown is Featuring a Fresh New Spring Cocktail Menu
Michael Schulson's pastoral Midtown Village hotspot, Harp & Crown, is now featuring brand-new, seasonal cocktails for springtime, which focus on fresh ingredients, creative combinations, and spirits from around the world.
With drinks featuring everything from aquavit (a Scandinavian spirit) to blueberries, the bar at Harp & Crown is embracing warmer weather by producing drinks for everyone, including a refreshing drink made with tequila and cucumber as well as a few of their favorites, like the Old Fashioned variation Dying Declaration, which is staying on the menu alongside a few others (Ruby Slippers, a vodka drink; Meridian Peak, a tequila soda variation; and the Charred Stone, made with grilled peaches and ginger beer).
Jefferson Oatts, who created the program in his capacity as beverage manager for the Schulson Collective, says of the menu, "The kitchen at Harp and Crown puts out dishes from around the globe using seasonal ingredients, and we sought the cocktails to fall in line with this concept as well. We wanted to have an array of beverages attractive to the adventurous imbiber looking for lesser known spirits and ingredients, to the casual connoisseur wanting to relax with more intuitive flavor combinations."
Oatts continued, "We're using things like aquavit and rosé vermouths - since 'contemporary American,' which is how we refer to our food menu, really means 'international,' we wanted to represent that through our cocktail menu by using spirits from across the world."
Check out the new additions to the menu below, and be sure to stop into Harp & Crown's bustling bar to sip on one of them soon.
