Yards Brewing Is Releasing Cans, Beginning Tours, & Opening Its Outdoor Space

by Drink Philly on Jun 27, 2018 in Beer

Yards Brewing Company, located at the corner of 5th and Spring Garden, is opening its outdoor space as well as hosting tours, but perhaps its most exciting new development is also its most anticipated — a new line of cans for its signature beers.

For the first time in Yards' 24 year history, three of its flagship beers — Philadelphia Pale Ale, Brawler, and IPA — will now be available in 12 oz. cans as well as 16 oz. pounders, which will be sold at the taproom and wherever Yards beers are available, making them perfect for summertime fun like backyard barbeques, baseball games, and more.

Guests eager to learn about the new canning line can now explore the brewery in full with a tour of Yards, which cost just $5 and last 45 minutes. As well as exploring the behind-the-scenes and learning about the brewing process, tour-goers will learn the "Story of Yards" and enjoy beer samples, play games, and more. Tours are held Mondays through Fridays at both 1 PM and 4 PM as well as on Saturdays and Sundays, which will offer 12 tours from 11:30 AM to 5 PM

Once your tour is done, if you don't want to go very far with your can, feel free to drink it in the brewery's cool, relaxing outdoor space in the shade of the tanks right in front of the brewery.

Yards' luxurious space has been a destination for beer lovers since it opened in late 2017, but with all of these new additions, it's sure to draw its biggest crowds yet — so head down to 5th and Spring Garden for tours, to check out the new cans, or simply relax with a signature Philadelphia craft beer.
